How To Sell Reddit Moons (Or Buy) In 2022 (Fast & Easy)

Trying to sell Reddit Moons used to be a long and complicated process.

How To Sell Moons In 7 Easy Steps. 

Here is the step-by-step process for selling Moons fast in 7 easy steps:

Step 1. Go To Celesti.Trade

Celesti makes it easy for buying or selling Moons (MOON).

You don’t even need to open an account with Celesti to sell MOON crypto.

Step 2. Check The Pool Balances

The way that you sell Moons is by exchanging them for Stellar Lumens (XLM).

To convert Moons, there has to be enough XLM available in the Pool Balance first.

The minimum amount of MOON token you can send is 1.
While the maximum depends on the exchange rate and pool balances and is constantly changing.

The first time I tried to sell Moon tokens, there wasn’t enough XLM available, but when I returned to the site a few hours later, there was more Stellar Lumens to exchange. 

After Moons are distributed each month, the Pool Balances are usually lower. This is because full-time Moon farmers instantly sell their Moons.

You can also buy Moons by exchanging XLM for MOON.

Step 3. Click ‘Buy or Sell MOON’

You can also see the exchange rate, which is taken from Honeyswap.

After you click ‘Buy or Sell MOON,’ you are taken to a new page.

It displays the current rates for how much 1 MOON sells for in XLM and how much 1 XLM buys in MOON.

The Maximum XLM and MOON token which can be exchanged is also displayed based on the current Pool Balances.

Step 4. Click ‘Sell MOON’

You will need to have a Stellar Address. You can use your XLM wallet on any exchange, Software Wallet, or Hardware Wallet.

Celesti will send the Stellar Lumens to your address.

Enter your Stellar address, and your Stellar memo.

Important: You must enter a Stellar memo and address.

You also need to enter your Moon return address. 

If the transaction fails, Celesti will issue you a refund back to your Moon address.

You can find your Moon crypto address in your Vault on the Reddit mobile app.

Click Your Avatar on the top left of the app, then click ‘Vault.’ 

Next, click the 3 dotted lines.

You will see your Avatar and then your username – starting with u/

Under your username will be your Moon token address. It starts with 0x.

Copy the Moon address and paste it into the Moon ‘return address.’

Next, click ‘SELL MOON.’

Step 5. Get The XLM Address

Now is the time to send your Moons to Celesti.

Make sure that you send L2 moons (not xmoons).

If you are unsure about the difference between L1 and L2 moons, Celesti has provided a FAQ for further detail.

Copy the address by clicking the ‘Copy Address’ button.

Step 6. Send Moons To Celesti

To send your MOONS, go back to the Reddit App, and click the icon on the top right corner of the Reddit Vault.

It will open the ‘Send Points’ screen.

• Paste the Celesti Moon address in the ‘User or Ethereum address’ field.

• Enter the number of Moons you want to send.

• Then, click ‘Send Moons.’ 

Important: Before you send your Moons, you must follow some transaction rules.

The most important is that you can only send the Maximum MOON, which is listed.

The minimum MOON you can send is 1.

Also, you only have 1 hour to make the transaction. Otherwise, the session will timeout. 

If that happens, you will need to restart the process before making a transaction.

Step 7. Receive Your XLM

After your Moon coins have been received by Celesti, they will then transfer the XLM coins to your Stellar wallet. Within minutes I received them.

After receiving the Lumens, you can then convert them to another cryptocurrency of your choice or exchange them for fiat (dollars).

The whole process only takes 10-15 minutes and is the best, easiest, and fastest way for selling Moons in 2022.

How To Buy Moons

Do you want to buy Moon tokens rather than sell them? 

Well, the process is exactly the same as how you buy Moons.

Follow steps 1-3, as above.

Then in Step 4, you need to click ‘Buy MOON’ instead of ‘Sell MOON.’

You will need to have XLM to buy MOON.

You then need to enter your L2 Moon Address (found in your Vault on the Reddit App or a MetaMask wallet address).

Then enter your Stellar Refund Address and memo. In case there is a problem, Celesti will issue a refund. 

Next click ‘Buy MOON.’

You will then receive the XLM address and memo to send your Stellar.

After you send your Lumens, you will receive Reddit MOON in your Vault or MetaMask Wallet.
